Bremerton Summer Institute 2019

This presentation will show how (1) hope predicts adaptive outcomes, (2) hope buffers the effects of adversity, and (3) hope can be influenced and sustained.  This workshop will also present “hands-on” tools to assess and nurture hope across the lifespan. Attendees will be invited to participate in small group discussions looking at their work from a hope centered approach. Attendees will also be asked to examine how they are a pathway for students to achieve goals and how they can help students see them as pathways and not barriers.
