How do we determine the function, or goal, of student behavior and provide function-based support? In this session, we demonstrate our approach to differentiated Tier II supports. We first provide a walk-through of advanced tiers of support pathways within our whole child initiative. Next, we walk through the FAST method—a simple process to determine the goal of challenging behavior and how best to meet youth need based on the goal of the behavior.
